JavaScript has many uses. I would like to point out two which I find especially appealing. One is overLib which is a JavaScript library created to enhance websites with small popup information boxes to help visitors around your website(similar to tooltips). It provides the user with information about what will happen before they click on a link as well as navigational help. The second is Bookmarklets which are tiny programs (a JavaScript application) contained in a bookmark (the URL is a "javascript:" URL) which can be saved and used the same way you use normal bookmarks. Once you start using Bookmarklets, you will find many uses for them. As always feel free to add your own JavaScript tips below.
