An in-situ HTML Editing Experiment |

Several months ago we took a look at OmniUpdate, the Web-based WYSIWYG HTML editor. Since then the product has improved in many ways. OmniUpdate has added spell checking, templates, calendars, as well as some user interface improvements, making it a must see. OmniUpdate is a good example of what a web-based service should be. Derek Robinson has been experimenting with an in-situ HTML editing bookmarklet that provides one with similar WYSIWYG HTML editing abilities on any webpage. Though Derek's bookmarklet only allows for in-memory editing today, it does lend itself to interesting web-based service opportunities in the future.
